QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED

Orion Construction brings decades of experience and certifications to the project,
from planning through delivery.

Orion, licensed in California with Class A, B, C-27, and certificates in Asbestos and Hazardous Substances Removal, focuses on maximizing team continuity and optimizing project budgets by self-performing scopes of civil, mechanical piping, and pipeline tasks. Our capabilities include excavation, underground piping, aggregate and soil displacement, asphalt base paving, backfill, mechanical piping installation, and some concrete work, all of which enhance operational efficiency. Utilizing our own equipment and trucking fleet minimizes reliance on external rentals and helps us maintain compliance with CARB standards. Our equipment is stored in multiple locations, including an 8-acre yard in Lakeside and a 2-acre yard in Spring Valley, allowing for quick mobilization and flexibility in managing traffic control during projects. These capabilities enable us to mitigate current labor, heavy equipment, truck, or machinery shortages that can affect production.

Orion's project management combines quantitative and qualitative techniques to ensure effective coordination and resource allocation through regular management and foreman meetings. Quantitatively, we use Primavera P6 software to track budget burn rates and project schedules, along with industry-specific applications for daily reporting and timekeeping to manage crew sizes and allocate resources in advance. Qualitatively, we implement look-ahead schedules and conduct weekly management and biweekly foreman and superintendent meetings to keep staff aligned. Each meeting follows a set agenda that covers crew forecasting, upcoming work scopes, material delivery timelines, and any current challenges.
