QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED

Orion Construction brings decades of experience and certifications to the project,
from planning through delivery.

Capabilities & Licensing

Orion holds California licenses in Class A, B, C-27, and certifications in Asbestos and Hazardous Substances Removal. We self-perform civil, mechanical piping, and pipeline work to keep teams stable and projects on budget. Our core capabilities include:

  • Excavation and underground piping

  • Aggregate, soil displacement, and backfill

  • Asphalt base paving

  • Mechanical piping installation

  • Concrete work

We own and operate our own equipment and trucking fleet, reducing dependence on outside rentals, maintaining CARB compliance, and giving us the flexibility to respond quickly when labor, equipment, or material shortages threaten production timelines. O

Our extensive equipment and materials assets are staged across two yards: an 8-acre facility in Lakeside and a 2-acre facility in Spring Valley, enabling rapid mobilization and efficient traffic control management on active job sites.

Project Management

Orion uses both quantitative and qualitative tools to keep projects coordinated, resourced, and on track.

Quantitatively, Orion implements Primavera P6 software to track budget burn rates and project schedules, along with industry-specific applications for daily reporting and timekeeping to manage crew sizes and allocate resources in advance.

Qualitatively, Orion applies look-ahead schedules and regular structured meetings.  Weekly for management, and biweekly for foremen and superintendents. Each meeting follows a proven agenda covering crew forecasting, upcoming work scopes, material delivery timelines, and current challenges. This process keeps all staff aligned and allows for early issue mitigation before problems can occur.
